Dental implants offer a natural-looking and low-maintenance solution to replace missing teeth. A dental implant is a “root” device, usually made of titanium that is surgically placed below the gums into the jawbone. The implant is carefully and painlessly placed into the jaw where the natural root would have been. It’s then left to integrate with the jawbone so they fuse. Once integrated a crown, bridge or denture can be fixed onto the implant.

If you are interested in getting implants placed in our office but don’t have sufficient bone, Dr. Trenton Paffenroth may recommend having a routine bone graft procedure. Bone grafting helps you to generate bone in that region. Other tooth replacement solutions include Dental Bridges and Dentures. A thorough evaluation will help determine whether you are a good candidate. We do implants here in our office. Sometimes, if the sinuses are involved or other complicating factors are involved, we will use an oral surgeon. There are several oral surgeons in the area that we are comfortable using.

Great experience today at my first appointment at Westhill Dental in Greenville! Billie was great with being very informative on my x rays, my cleaning, and tips and tricks for future preventative care. Dr Trent was out of the office this week on vacation but I got to meet Dr Ian. I was more than impressed with how personable he was, definitely not the norm with any “medical” appointment.
